Adeno is a civic app designed to encourage young people to vote in European elections by making political information more accessible, engaging and educational. Users answer a quiz on political, geopolitical and social topics to understand which European groups or candidate lists best match their views, while learning how the European Union and its institutions work. The experience needed familiar mobile patterns, similar to matching, without reducing the project to a game: solo mode, express mode, multiplayer comparisons, sourced content, transparent methodology and careful attention to neutrality. The challenge was to turn a subject often seen as complex or distant into a clear, shareable experience that could prompt discussion before the election.
Objectives
- Make European election issues understandable and engaging for young and first-time voters.
- Design a simple, quick and transparent political quiz, with results that are easy to read and share.
- Prepare an app for large-scale use across countries and languages while reducing barriers to adoption.
Our contribution
- Design mobile journeys: onboarding, quiz, compatibility results, educational content and topic navigation.
- Develop the iOS app with solo, express and multiplayer modes to compare answers and start conversations.
- Work on clear results, source hierarchy, explanation of proposals and trust in the methodology.
- Provide product support on engagement and sharing for a free app intended to circulate before the European elections.
